Sangla Valley , a small valley but famous place is situated in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is known as one of the most beautiful valleys in the country. In Tibetan, the term Sangala means “pass of light” which means the valley receiving sunlight during the day.

Kalpa is a small town in Kinnaur district. It is situated in the Sutlej river valley as an perfect vacation spot. Most of the tourist found this place on their way to the famous Spiti Valley. Tourist must climb 16 km of steep narrow road from the Shimla to reach this beautiful valley. Apple is a major major cultivation in Kalpa.

How to reach:
By Air: Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in Delhi OR Chandigarh Airport is a feasible option for travelling to Shimla as it serves both domestic and international flights from all major cities.

By Rail: Another alternative is New Delhi Railway Station Chandigarh Railway Station , which is one through which most trains arrive and depart from Delhi / Chandigarh.

By Road: One of the best options will be through buses like Volvo buses, as they are well connected to all the major cities.

DAY 1

Delhi - Shimla (343 km - 7 hours 33 mins)

Arrival at Delhi Airport / Railway Station and drive to Shimla. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 2

Shimla - Sangla (214 km - 6 hours 42 mins)

After breakfast, drive to Sangla through the thick woods of Kufri, Fagu, and Narkanda. Evening check in to Luxury Camp. Baspa is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Himalayas and is often compared to the famous valley of Kashmir. Known for its rich Kinnauri culture and apple orchards, this valley was opened for tourists only in 1993 for its close proximity to the Tibetan border. Return back to Hotel and Overnight stay.

DAY 3

Sangla

After breakfast explore Kamru Fort & Temple dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam & Nages God. After Lunch drive to take an excursion to Chitkul – a last Village on Old Indo – Tibetan Trade Route. Walk through green orchards & brilliant stream. Return back to Sangla and Overnight stay.

DAY 4

Sangla - Kalpa (31 km - 1 hour 3 mins)

After breakfast, check-out from the Hotel and drive to Kalpa – District Headquarter of Kinnar & once a favorite haunt of Lord Dalhousie. Arrive Kalpa and transfer to the Hotel. Kalpa was known as Chini back in the days when it was the Regional Capital. Each and every corner of Kalpa facing Jorkanden & the Kinner Kailash Peaks, considered as one of the mythical homes of Lord Shiva & by its side is a 79-foot rock formation that resembles a Shivlinga that changes the color as the day passes & is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. Post Lunch rest in Hotel & in the evening visit to Buddhist Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar. Return back to Hotel and Overnight stay.

DAY 5

Kalpa

Early morning enjoys the Sunrise over Kinner Kailash Peaks. Return back to Hotel, after breakfast Kalpa is famous for its Apples & Chilgoza Plantations [a kind of Dry Fruits], which are found only in Iran & Turkey besides here. The tree belongs to the Pine Family & the fruit is in about an inch long soft cover. Later visit the local School & Narayan Nagini Temple Complex, which has Shrines of Hindu, Buddhist & local Deities. After lunch drive to visit Roghi Village to explore the ‘Pahari’ Life. Interact with the locals. Return back to Kalpa and Overnight stay.

DAY 6

Kalpa - Shimla (223 km - 6 hours 30 mins)

After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Shimla on the way you can visit Sarahan Upon arrival at Shimla check-in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

DAY 7

Shimla - Delhi (340 km - 6 hours 55 mins)

After breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Delhi Airport/Railway Station to depart the journey. Tour Ends…
