Amritsar Dalhousie Dharamshala Overview
Amritsar derives its name from Amrit Sarovar, built by Guru Ram Das in the village of Tung. It is believed that the water of the lake has healing powers. It is the largest city in Punjab. Amritsar is the centre of Sikhism and it is the holiest and biggest worship place of Sikhs – the most famous being the Harmandir Sahib, or The Golden Temple.
Dalhousie: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born in Dalhousie, and it is a very beautiful destination in Himachal State. It has Waterfalls, Dense forest, and the Dhauladhar range. This city reminds you of the colonial past and is famous for its pleasant climate and scenic beauty.
Dharamshala is a spiritual city in the state of Himachal Pradesh. This is a quiet holiday destination as well as an adventure city for trekkers. In Dharamshala you can visit the waterfall and lots of Buddhist monasteries, where you can feel the calmness of the city. It is a mixture of modernization and culture.

DAY 1
Amritsar
Pickup from Amritsar Railway Station/ Airport and transfer to the Hotel. Evening visits the Indo-Pak Wagah Border which is famous for its 'Retreat' ceremony at the time of sunset. Wagah Border is situated at a distance of 28 kilometers from Amritsar. This place to see the change of guards ceremony and the flag hoisting and lowering activities which are done with great skill and precision by the border security forces of both the countries, Wagah is the only land border open between Pakistan and India. Return back to Hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 2
Amritsar - Dalhousie (199 km - 4 hours 38 mins)
After breakfast, start your city tour with the blessings of the Golden Temple- the most sacred temple for Sikhs. It is a symbol of the magnificence and strength of the Sikh people all over the world. Later visit Jallianwala Bagh which is a memorial to the countless numbers of innocent Indians which were massacred by General Dyer on April 13, 1919. British General, Edward Dyer, ordered his soldiers to opened fire on an unarmed gathering of Hundreds men, women and children in this place. Afternoon visit Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum, This Museum is most important and cultural pride of Punjab and It is famous for its rare and priceless collections, particularly Paintings, Weapons and Armours, Manuscripts & Coins, Which is situated in the heart of Ram Bagh, Amritsar and drive to Dalhousie. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.
DAY 3
Dalhousie
After having breakfast at the hotel and drive visit following -PANCHKULA: Panchpula, a beautiful spot, is barely 3 km. from G.P.O. On the way to Panchpula is Satdhara springs gurgling with refreshing water, believed to contain some medicinal properties. Panchpula stream is the main source of water supply to Dalhousie and Bahloon. The stream springs from the north side of Dayan Kund and runs down a picturesque ravine to the waterworks of Panchpula. There is an elegant monument erected at Panchpula where several streams meet at one point. This monument, a samadhi was built in memory of great revolutionary Sardar Ajit Singh who breathed his last in Panchpula. There is a Tourism restaurant and several chai shops in Panchpula, that offer hot and cold beverages and snacks. SUBHASH BAOLI: Just approximately 1 km from G.P.O. is a charming natural spot called Subhash Baoli. Neta Ji Subhash Chander Bose during his 7 months sojourn in Dalhousie in 1937 is believed to have spent most of his days by the side of this water body, meditating amidst dense woods of Cedar and meeting his party workers. This place lies on the G.P.O. - Jandri Ghat Road. A canopy with seating facilities has been created by the local administration at this place. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 4
Dalhousie
After having breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Chamba stands on the right bank of the river Ravi. Later we proceed to Khajjiar, Often called India's Mini Switzerland, Khajjiar was probably a glacial bowl formed during the last Himalayan ice age and left with a lake that gradually withered away. Khajjiar is part of the notified Kalatop - Khajjiar sanctuary, where you can enjoy horse riding, adventure activities at Khajjiar. Stay overnight at Hotel in Dalhousie.
DAY 5
Dalhousie - Dharamshala (118 km - 3 hours 27 mins)
After having breakfast at the hotel, Drive to Dharamsala, Dharamshala is a beautiful and peaceful town spread at different levels and surrounded by a forest of pine. It is the Buddhist capital of the Tibetan government in exile. Check in the Hotel, After relaxing visit the School of Tibetan studies, Tibetan Institute for Performing Arts, Bhagsunath and Dal Lake. Return back to Hotel in Dharamsala and Overnight stay.
DAY 6
Dharamshala
After Breakfast, visit Mcleodganj local sightseeing, Mcleodganj is a small bazaar filled with a variety of Tibetan handicrafts and artifacts. Buddhist temple, Dalai Lama Temple, Tsuglagkhang is situated opposite the residence of Dalai Lama, Tsuglagkhang is the central cathedral or the main temple of the Buddhist. The temple houses three main images, which is Sakyamuni Buddha, Avalokitesvara, and Padmasambhava, Later visit Bhagsu Nag Temple and waterfall, charming church of St. John, Norbulingka Institute and then back to the Hotel and overnight at Hotel.
DAY 7
Dharamshala - Amritsar (204 km - 4 hours 15 mins)
After having the Breakfast at the Hotel, drive to Amritsar Railway Station to board the Train/ Airport to depart the journey. Tour Ends.
